Principal
Billie Teague
I am excited to begin my second year as Principal of Potomac Elementary School! After an amazing first year at PES, I am grateful for the relationships we have built together and look forward to another outstanding year with our incredible staff, students, and families. I am excited to continue building on the successes we've achieved together.
I bring more than 25 years of experience in education serving students at both the elementary and secondary levels. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Morehead State University, a Master's degree from Regent University, and an Administration and Supervision endorsement from Longwood University. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating positive learning environments where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
On a personal note, I have a large family with six children, one of whom still attends King George County Schools. I am also the proud grandmother of four wonderful grandchildren who bring so much joy to my life. When I'm not at school, my family and I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially camping and exploring nature together.
Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky taught me the importance of community, hard work, and caring for one another. Those values continue to guide me as an educator and leader. During my time at Potomac Elementary, I have experienced that same sense of belonging and support from our students, families, staff, and community. I am honored to serve as your principal and look forward to another year of learning, growth, and celebrating the many accomplishments of our Potomac Hawks together.
Assistant Principal
Samantha Saunders
Potomac Elementary School has always held a special place in my heart. My mom taught here when I was a child, and PES is where my own educational journey began. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving this school in many roles: as a student, teacher, grade-level chair and assistant principal. It is truly an honor to continue leading a school that has meant so much to me throughout my life.
After graduating from King George High School, I attended Radford University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree. My journey then took me to Lynchburg, where I had the opportunity to work at the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center while completing my Master's degree. Since returning home, I have dedicated more than a decade to serving the students, families, and staff of Potomac Elementary. Along the way, I also completed my Administration and Supervision endorsement through Old Dominion University. Watching my two boys learn from many of the same educators who helped shape my own life has been one of my greatest joys.
As we begin another school year together, I am filled with excitement and gratitude. Last year was filled with incredible memories, meaningful relationships, and countless reasons to celebrate our students. I look forward to building on that success as we continue working together to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every child.
As families settle into the new school year, I encourage you to make time to read together, play games, explore, and simply enjoy being with one another. Those moments create lasting memories and provide the foundation our children need to grow and thrive. Here at Potomac Elementary, we are proud to be one family, and we can't wait to partner with you in making this another amazing year for our students.

Erin Walker
I had an incredible first year at Potomac Elementary School, and I’m excited to begin another amazing year with our PES community! It has been a privilege getting to know our students, families, and staff, and I look forward to building on the strong relationships and successes we shared last year.
As many of you know, Potomac Elementary holds a special place in my heart because I’m a proud former Potomac student. I attended King George County Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade before earning both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from James Madison University. I then returned to King George to begin my career in education, teaching kindergarten for six years before serving as a Reading Specialist for ten years.
With more than 17 years of experience in K–5 education, I bring a strong background in literacy instruction, intervention, and instructional leadership. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting students' academic growth, well-being, and overall success while partnering with teachers and families to create positive learning experiences.
As we begin this new school year, I am excited to continue supporting the incredible work happening at PES. Together, we will build on last year's successes, embrace new opportunities for learning and growth, and ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and valued. I am honored to serve this wonderful community and look forward to another fantastic year with our students, families, and staff.
